Lucy, Dan and James visited me this week and just left yesterday feeling "rejuvenated and recuperated", after days of hiking and bathing in Niceland. There was a trip running for staff at my work on Monday and luckily there were spaces left so the three spring chickens were allowed to come along for free! It was to the Þórsmörk area, where we had a walk to one of the peaks, followed an outdoor yoga session and were fed a delicious lunch complete with beers and wine and cakes. The views from the hike were incredible and we bathed in the local pool in Reykjavik to rest our tired limbs in the evening. We also climbed Mount Esja, the mountain across the water from Reykjavik, with a big group on Wednesday which was so so lovely. It was just so nice to go in such a big fun gang.
