Snæfellsnes

On Sunday, I went on a trip to the Snæfellsnes peninsula to the village of Grundarfjörður. The drive was really pretty and once we arrived in Grundarfjörður we took a boat out into the fjord to look for whales and dolphins. The orca whales are commonly found in the fjord at this time of year as they feed on the herring population that swim into the fjord in the winter. We saw several orcas and on the way back into shore, the boat was followed by dolphins as the sun was setting.
